Alongside with soft melodies

Radikaliai.lt is presenting Rebecca Hennessy, a Canadian trumpeter, singer, and songwriter. Rebecca wanted to share her new album, Maps and Photographs, out December 4, 2026. Rebecca's music is known for its soft atmospheric ethereal dreamy melodies... It’s a deeply personal set of original songs about connection, memory, mortality, family, and our relationship to the natural world, bridging jazz, roots, and the singer-songwriter tradition. One song traces my paternal family’s journey from Constantinople to Canada. Kevin Breit, Tania Gill, Michael Herring, and Dave Clark play on the record, and I was nominated for the 2026 Louis Applebaum Composers Award for Jazz. The album follows All the Little Things You Do (2020), Joy Will Find Us (2023), and Makeshift Island: Live at the Jazz Room (2025). Ron Schepper of Textura wrote of Joy Will Find Us that “Hennessy shows herself once again to be an exceptional talent,” and the Winnipeg Free Press gave All the Little Things You Do four stars out of five.
