CD review. NUMBER ELEVEN – Strict. Music to play with/out darkness

There will be time for sure when everyone will say: remember Coil? No? It’s like Number Eleven. Remember Autechre? No? It’s like Number Eleven. Huh, will it be true or alternative reality? Actually, I don’t know but I see a great perspective in music which is made by Augustinas Buizina from Vilnius, Lithuania and is more known as Number Eleven.

Augustinas is just 18, but speaks very fluent Lithuanian and English, although is a “normal guy” for these days”: computer, music, music, computer, books, programming, a lot of ideas. I am 40 and cannot probably understand it, but he speaks easily as an old radio host about lots of things: new paradigm of universe, comics he created, music he is writing from 4.

Well, I don’t really know if he is this age’s Mozart. I’m really not into electronic music so much. But I can say for sure – you must pay attention to Number Eleven, and Strict (one of seven albums Augustinas had created) is probably the best to start from. Chronologically, it’s the fifth album of Number Eleven.I wish my aforementioned words (with all my respect to Autechre and Coil) would become true. The music that Augustinas creates has so much (maybe even too much) energy and greatness that it’s almost Martial Industrial with a touch of IDM. Or vice versa.
